KHA Review and Evaluation Process:

To obtain a partnership status, all products and services must meet certain criteria. Some of the areas evaluated are:

  • Does the product or service add value to the Association, KHA members and their organizations?
  • Is the product or service accurate, effective and easy-to-use?
  • Is there superior customer service and technical support provided?
  • Is the product or service based on practical industry knowledge and proven experience?
  • Does the organization have a solid reputation?
  • Is the organization compatible with KHA’s brand and values statements?

KHA Review and Evaluation Steps:

Initial Screening – The organization completes a partnership application and criteria, including fit, market performance and quality. KHA will end the Review and Evaluation process at any point if it is determined the product does not meet KHA’s criteria.

Preliminary Product Review – KHA will perform a review to ensure that the product is technically sound.

Member Review Survey – KHA surveys a sample of members and users, including current and former product customers, prospects who did not purchase the product, and selected members who have agreed to participate in the review. The survey examines the areas of product effectiveness, quality/usability, features, price/value, support and purchase factors.

Scoring – To be considered for Review, the product or service must meet a minimum weighted score. Scoring is weighted by the following percentages:

  • Effectiveness 20%
  • Quality/usability 20%
  • Price/value 10%
  • Support 25%
  • Purchase factors 25%

Approval and Review – KHA will analyze findings and supporting documents. KHA will then recommend or decline the proposed partnership based on KHA’s criteria.

License Agreement, Communication and Assessment – Once a product or service receives Partner status, a formal license agreement is entered into. This allows the product or service to be marketed and advertised using the KHA marks and logos.
There is no application fee to go through the Review and Evaluation. Once an organization successfully passes all the stages of the process, a license agreement is entered into that legally allows for the company to use and promote their status with the KHA marks and logos. The license agreement does have a financial subscription fee, which is paid to KHA allowing KHA to support this program.
